As of 7pm CDT on 9/1 Tropical Depression Thirteen has developed in the Gulf of Mexico. The primary concern will likely be very heavy rainfall along portions of the Northern Gulf Coast over the next few days. This system is embedded in weak steering currents aloft, meaning any movement will be slow and may be erratic at times. Additionally if this system becomes Tropical Storm Lee a prolonged period of tropical storm force winds may also occur. Stay tuned!
